Parish Council

Tangmere Parish Council serves the village of Tangmere and the hamlet of Easthampnett in West Sussex.  The parish is located three miles to the east of Chichester and is twinned with Hermanville-sur-Mer in Normandy, France.
Tangmere Parish Council was formed in 1966 and is made up of ten members. Parish Council elections take place every four years and the last election took place in May 2015 which was un-contested.   The Parish has just over 2,000 registered electors.
The Parish Council exists to serve the community from which it is elected. Whilst the Council has limited powers, the Council is able to influence decisions that affect YOU. The Parish Council is involved with providing input into planning, environmental, transport and other issues which directly affect the parish. The Council started on the production of a Neighbourhood plan at the end of 2013. Please visit the web page for the plan to see how we have progressed.  During April 2014 we conducted a village questionnaire to seek the views of residents on the issues that form part of the plan.   Thank you to all those residents that completed the questionnaire.
