Tangmere Twinning Association

Tangmere is twinned with Hermanville-sur-Mer in the Calvados region of Basse-Normandie.  It has a 13th century church, a Commonwealth War Cemetery and its beach was the Sword Beach used in the Normandy landings in Operation Overlord. The following links will give further details about this and the village of Hermanville itself.

For the past twelve years we have been making annual reciprocal visits, staying in each other's homes, and close friendships have developed between group members in both our villages.
