Tangmere Tuesday Club
This club was formed with
a small number of enthusiastic members in 1976 with the
help of Age Concern.
We used to meet in the Old
Sports Pavilion which was on part of the site of the present
Village Centre. The present Chairman, Mary Poole, has been
helping with the group since the beginning and provides
the delicious refreshments each week.
Members enjoy coming along
to meet with friends, have a lively game of cards, scrabble,
darts, bingo and dominoes and join in with Chair Aerobics
and quizzes on a regular basis.
We also have outings to theatres
and trips out which include a stop for tea and cakes (and
pancakes on Shrove Tuesday).
We have strong links with
the Primary School – the School Choir entertain us at Christmas
time and members joined in a board game session at the School
during the Community Warden Week.
